Georgia Travel Guide

Georgia is a small country between Europe and Asia that brings together the Caucasus Mountains and the Black Sea: green mountains in summer, snow in winter, and cities where old meets new. This guide helps you plan your trip step by step.

Visas

Georgia is one of the easiest countries to enter. Citizens of more than 90 countries can visit without a visa, including the Gulf states, the European Union, the UK and the United States, and most of them can stay for up to a year.

Entry rules differ by nationality and can change, so check them before you travel on the website of Georgia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs or with the Georgian embassy in your country.

Getting around

Top places

Tbilisi

Gudauri

The highest ski resort in Eastern Europe, about two hours by car from Tbilisi. The ski season runs from early December to mid-April, and January and February are the best months. You can also try snowmobiles and paragliding.

Kazbegi

A beautiful mountain road that ends at Gergeti Church, on a hilltop facing Mount Kazbek. One of the best day trips from Tbilisi.

Batumi

A city on the Black Sea, at its best in summer, with a long seafront promenade, a botanical garden and a cable car.

Internet

Buy an eSIM before you travel, so it works as soon as you land without looking for a shop.
